Here is the finished gown.

I trimmed with bodice neckline with some antique black lace taken from a turn-of-the-century gown. It closes in front with hooks and eyes, and I attached faked buttons which are period.
I put a costume choker on the mannequin. I might wear it.

I think the choker is perfect… the jewels pick up the color and the silvery tone is a great foil for the black. I’d vote “yes”!
Unless you happen to have a 3-strand black pearl choker with a slightly tarnished silver medallion centered on the throat just lying about in the jewelry box, that is – then I’d go with that!
I’m sure you’ll look stunning no matter what accessories you choose.
